The Client Experience Process
Discovery Call: The initial chat. Every project begins with a conversation. We discuss your brand, goals, audience, visual style, and practical needs such as platforms, timelines, and usage. This step ensures we are aligned creatively and strategically from the start.
The proposal: Based on our discussion, I prepare a tailored offer outlining scope, deliverables, timelines and licensing. Sending you a list with the costs and prices of the project you have in mind.
The creative direction: Once the offer is approved, I define the creative direction, including visual references, mood board, concepts, shot lists, and when relevant recipe ideas and styling approach.
The preparation: This phase focuses on planning. It may include recipe testing and refinement, sourcing ingredients and props, planning styling details, creating shot lists, and organizing the shoot schedule. For video projects, this can include planning motion sequences or storyboards.
The one-on-one call: Talking and agreeing about all the final decisions over shooting in a call 2 days before the shooting so that the process can be as smooth as possible.
The testing: Setting up the scene, lighting, props and backdrops of a test shoot for final confirmation. Cooking and preparation of all the ingredients and final recipe so that the shooting day can be efficient.
The production: On shoot day, I manage food styling, photography, and/or videography to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow. Attention is given to lighting, composition, movement and detail, ensuring all content aligns with the agreed creative vision. Consulting with the client via Whats App, Zoom or in person for the best visual results.
The Post production: Selected images and/or video footage are professionally edited, including color correction, retouching, and video trimming. Content is formatted according to its final use whether it is for web, social media, or print. A preview gallery is send to the client for review to ensure the content meets the brand standards and expectations.
Deliverables: Final high-resolution images, videos, and recipes are delivered digitally in the agreed formats, ready for immediate use across your website, social media, campaigns, or publications. Licensing details and usage guidelines are clearly outlined. Files are delivered via Pixieset, or Dropbox to the client.
